Tim Burke | Founder
Tim founded Live Recruit Academic as a solution to the growing recruiting boom and to provide a solution for the Academic Elite Student Athlete to "separate themselves" in the recruiting process. Tim quickly realized that it was difficult for recruits to connect with College Coaches whether it be for Highlight Video, Game Film, Transcripts, or basic contact information in which the delay resulted in the Student Athlete getting "lost in the shuffle" with Colleges. Tim's #1 goal is to help the Academic Student Athletes succeed on the Court, in the Classroom, and in the overall College Experience!
Tim was part of national ranked basketball teams at Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft in the early 2000's before continuing his basketball career at Catholic University, where he continued nationally ranked basketball success for 3 years under current Vermont head coach Mike Lonergan and one year under current Catholic head coach Steve Howes. Upon completion of college Tim became an executive at SEMGeeks.com, a full service Internet Marketing and Web Design Agency located in Brielle, NJ. Tim was in the forefront of the online marketing surge directly out of college where he is has become responsible for leading revenue generating activities and functions globally, which includes all areas related to the attraction, development, and retention of each client.
For the past 6 years Tim has coached at both the elite AAU Level with the Central Jersey Hawks (Head Coach of the Biggest Upset in AAU Histrory according to DimeMagazine.com) and NJ Shoreshots as well as Coach at Manasquan High School. At both the AAU and High School levels, Tim has helped develop Academic Recruit's skills on and off the hardwood, as well as assisting in the recruiting process for over 25 Academic Elite Student Athletes placing them into some of the top College/Universities in the country.

Mr. Joseph D. Fili, M.A.T., brings 40 years of teaching experience and SAT prep instruction to his company, Prep-SAT Partners, LLC. In 1991, he co-authored The New SAT, published by REA Publishers (no longer in print) and is presently the author of Real World Strategies for the Verbal SAT, (copyright 2007).
John Colangelo IV | Online Digital Media Specialist
As Digital Video Specialist for Live Recruit Academic, John Colangelo is responsible for the creation and editing of player hightlight reels. John has demonstrated considerable expertise in all aspects of videography, ranging from camera opperation to post-production activities. Technical skills in Avid Express Pro and HD, Final Cut Pro, and both Adobe Premeire and Photoshop. His professional experience was gained serving as a Combat Videographer for the United States Marine Corps. John's responsibilities included planning, coordinating and performance of all aspects of videography for training, operational and documentary purposes
